FAQ

What happens in the first session?

Your first therapy session is mostly about understanding where you are right now and getting to know each other. The most important part is that you feel comfortable with me. I may ask you questions about what has brought you here and what you would like to focus on. Therapy is about working together.

Where are you based?

Please note during COVID-19 Lockdown I am no longer working face to face with clients but am working online via zoom or on the telephone.

I work in two locations. I see clients at a Therapy Practice in Amblecote, Stourbridge on Brettell Lane and I also see clients at my Private Practice in Hagley.

How long do sessions last?

A counselling session lasts for 50 minutes. However, I do not specify how often a client should attend. Some clients prefer weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We will have regular discussions about how you feel the therapy is going and can adjust our sessions if needed.

How much do sessions cost?

Individual counselling costs £40 for a 50minute session payable by cash, cheque or BACS transfer.

Can I end counselling and come back at a later time?

Of course. Many clients choose to come for a while and then feel able to cope with life again. However I find that many return frequently as they realise the benefit that they gain from it.
